SASS Number and Shooter's ID

Tutorial for non SASS members

CAS scoring cannot do without the SASS number / shooter ID in its database.
We have several options:
If the shooter is a SASS member, he will use his SASS number.

If the shooter is not a SASS member, and does not have a SASS Number,
then he can use a combination of his club abbreviation and Club Number instead - for example, an AWS member with the number 400 would have his ID "AWS400"

If he is not a member of SASS or any other club he can use some abbreviation of his Alias and some number, for example "Always2" as he chooses.

The shooter's ID is unique, if the casscoring.com website fails to save the event entry or create an account when you enter it, it means the shooter's ID is already in use.

In the past we have used numeric prefixes for countries and these can still be used, but we would like to standardize the way we create shooter IDs under the new rules using club abbreviations.

The old rules using prefixes are here:

  • Austria Prefix "120" + Club number = 120ClubNumber
  • Czech Republic 999CLubNumber
  • Denmark 150ClubNumber
  • Finland 160ClubNumber
  • France 200ClubNumber
  • Germany 100ClubNumber
  • Hungary 777ClubNumber
  • Luxembourg 130ClubNumber
  • Netherlands 140ClubNumber
  • Poland 110ClubNumber
  • Slovakia 888ClubNumber
  • Sweden 170ClubNumber
  • Norway 180ClubNumber
